Year 8 English
In Year 8, students will keep on intensive discussion on various topics involving social affairs, sports, entertainment and politics. Group discussions, presentation and after-class research will be encouraged to help students develop their skills to express their opinions precisely with sound evidences and prepare themselves for VCE learning at this early stage. In the second semester of Year 8, novel reading will be integrated in the English curriculum, helping students to lengthen their reading lists and enhance their ability of literature appreciation.
从8年级开始，学生将接触多种议论文体，话题涉及的范围也更广，比如社会时事、体育、娱乐、政治等。我们将运用小组讨论、课堂演讲、课后研究等形式鼓励学生逐步提高自己的表达能力，运用充足而有力的论据表达观点，为VCE阶段的学习打下基础。从下半年开始，8年级学生还会在老师的指导下额外读一本我们推荐的英语小说，扩大词汇量，提高阅读鉴赏能力。
Year 8 Math
Apart from the further study on algebra and measurement, Year 8 Math classes will focus on mathematic issues in the financial and economic scenarios. Equations, surds, co-ordinate geometry, gradient, linear graphs are also the topics that will be discussed in a further depth. In geometry sessions, angles, areas, volumes, perimeter, and circumference will be mainly discussed. Apart from face-to-face learning commitment at school, students are also required to do some homework to consolidate what they have learnt on weekends.
8年级数学课除深入学习代数和测量外，还会关注与金融和经济相关的数学问题，同时也会更进一步地讨论方程、无理数、坐标几何、梯度、线性图形等问题。几何学方面，则主要学习角度、面积、体积、周长、圆周等。除课堂教学外，我们还要求学生完成家庭作业，巩固他们在周末学习的知识。
Advanced Writing 1 (高级写作1)
In the class of Advanced Writing 1, students are exposed to more writing exercises targeting to VCE exams especially in style of persuasion. A large amount of resources about the latest social affairs will be used as the learning materials to stimulate discussion, persuasion and debate within which students are supposed to grasp the skills of influencing their readers in a clever and powerful way. Literature analysis will also be focused to help students work out how every single word and evidence is used by experienced writers to influence the readers, which is also an important part of VCE exams.
在高级写作1的课程中，学生将接触更多针对VCE考试的写作练习，尤其是说服文。我们将运用大量有关社会时事的资料，帮助学生展开讨论、说服和辩论，学生要学习如何用巧妙而有力的方式影响读者。我们还会向学生介绍文学分析的写作，帮助学生了解专业的作家是如何运用精准的词汇和论据感染读者，这也是VCE考试的一个重要部分。
Year 8 Scholarship Testing (8年级奖学金考试班)
Suitable for students intending to sit the scholarship tests in private and government schools
The Year 8 Scholarship Testing class is conducted by doing the test-style English and Math papers in class under a time limit, supplemented with test review and test strategies instruction. Test papers are selected from our database where various types of scholarship test questions are integrated to equip students with the skills to face the challenge of private and government selective entry tests.
